How Our Network Works for You

Who you talk to

You speak with an independent local provider, or someone who answers for that provider. Morningphase Concrete is the matchmaker, not the contractor. The provider is a separate business, and the work agreement is between the two of you.

What happens on the first conversation

Expect simple questions. Where is the project? Is it a driveway or a patio? About how big is it? Is there an old slab to remove? When would you like to start? Have your answers ready. A photo and a few tape measure numbers make the talk much faster.

What to ask a provider

Write your questions down before you talk. Good ones to start with:

  • Are you licensed and insured where I live?
  • How do you prepare the base and handle drainage?
  • What thickness, mix and reinforcement do you plan to use?
  • How do you protect a pour from sun, wind, hail or cold?
  • Will you give me a written quote with the full scope?
  • How long before I can walk or drive on it?
  • Do you do stamped concrete patios or other concrete flatwork?

Make the talk count

Take notes while the provider speaks. Write down names, numbers and any dates that come up. If you hear a term you do not know, ask what it means. A good provider will explain it in plain words. After the talk, read your notes again and compare them with any written quote you receive.

You stay in control

You pick who to hire. You can talk to more than one provider and compare written quotes. Costs vary by job, site and season, so a typical range is only a starting point. If something sounds unclear, stop and ask. Do not sign until the scope and price are on paper.
